Osteopathy

Whole-Body Treatment

This therapy is a unique whole body approach to health care. Osteopaths do not simply concentrate on treating the problem area, but use manual techniques to balance all the systems of the body, to provide overall good health and wellbeing.

Non-Invasive Therapy

Osteopathy is a form of drug-free, non-invasive manual medicine that focuses on total body health by treating and strengthening the musculoskeletal framework, which includes the joints, muscles, and spine. Its aim is to positively affect the body’s nervous, circulatory, and lymphatic systems.

It’s all connected

Osteopathy and osteopathic medicine are terms often used interchangeably for the philosophy and medical practice first proposed by A.T. Still MD in 1874. Its practitioners are known as osteopaths. The principles of osteopathic medicine emphasize the interrelationship between structure and function of the body and recognize the body’s ability to heal itself. It is the role of the osteopath to facilitate that process, principally by the skilled practise of manual and manipulative therapy.

Total Body Balancing

  • 01

In a healthy body, all joints and intervertebral discs of the spine are under tension rather than compression, allowing you to have a “spring in your step” that minimizes impact.

  • 02

Integration Therapeutics focuses on restoring biotensegrity to employ your body’s shock-absorbing abilities, keeping your joints agile and your movements fluid.

  • 03

Total Body Balancing is a full body evaluation and treatment that assesses the cause of a patients’ pain. By evaluating the whole body, the therapist can determine if other areas of dysfunction are causing the patient’s pain.

  • 04

During the evaluation, the therapist will assess protective muscle spasms, joint stiffness, fascia, scar tissue and swelling. Once these mechanical barriers are removed with therapy, the patient can return to a pain free, functional life style.

Health, Energy & Balance

A healthy bodymind is a bodymind in motion. Where are you stuck? What is the nature of your barrier? Is it physical/structural, mental, emotional? The fact is that most restrictions are a combination of all three. To affect lasting change it is important to identify and release all of the elements that are keeping you stuck.
